evolve’s integrated ShowerStart Technology is driven by a temperature sensing actuator that enables the showerhead to prevent hot water from running down the drain when no one is in the shower – an event most

Every time the shower is turned on, the evolve showerhead monitors the water’s temperature.
Once it is ready for bathing (95F), evolve’s ShowerStart technology automatically slows the water flow to a
slight trickle and prevents hot water from running down the drain when no one is in the shower. Users can then simply return to the shower and flip a switch to resume the normal water flow.

Because the City of San Diego currently imports more than 85 percent of its water, it is constantly evaluating new, innovative ways to conserve and use water more efficiently. The Water
Department is partnering with San Diego Gas and Electric to assess evolve showerheads in an in-home pilot study taking place this fall.
